At Stone Lotus Landscapes, we specialise in crafting personalised outdoor spaces that combine aesthetics with functionality. The 2020 Kingsford Project was designed to transform the outdoor area into a coastal Hamptons-inspired retreat, using a simple yet elegant palette of white and natural materials, complemented by lush tropical planting for a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere.

Scope of Work
For the Kingsford Project, the following tasks were undertaken:
Site Assessment and Planning:
We began by conducting a detailed site assessment to ensure the design met the client’s vision of a coastal resort-style retreat. We considered the space’s layout, existing features, and surrounding environment to craft a design that would provide a peaceful yet functional outdoor living area for the family.
Design, Planting, and Installation:
The design focused on a fresh, coastal aesthetic, using natural materials such as Spotted Gum timber and limestone paving to create a timeless yet modern feel. We used Ezarri Zen Bali Pool tiles for a high-end, sleek finish around the pool area, while incorporating a copper outdoor shower to enhance the coastal vibe.
Plantings included striking Bangalow Palms, Elephant Ears, and Ligularia Reniformis, chosen for their lush greenery and tropical appeal, perfectly complementing the coastal look. To soften the pool surround and maximise greenery, we opted for large steppers embedded in Zoysia Sir Grange, creating a harmonious blend of hard and soft landscaping that is low-maintenance yet visually striking.
Clean Up:
After completing the construction, we ensured the space was spotless. Our team removed all debris, tidied the garden, and carried out a final inspection to make sure all elements—from the custom bench seating to the plantings—were properly installed and ready for immediate use.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability was a key priority for the Kingsford Project. We sourced all materials responsibly, ensuring longevity and minimal environmental impact. The plant selections, including native and drought-tolerant varieties, were made with the local environment in mind, promoting water efficiency and a harmonious connection with nature. The overall design was carefully planned to reduce maintenance needs while enhancing the ecological health of the space.
