For the 2015 Queens Park project, we designed a garden that complements the industrial style of the home, using natural materials and soft plantings to create a balanced, functional space.
Scope of Work
For the Queens Park Project, the following tasks were undertaken:
Site Assessment and Planning:
We carefully considered the relationship between the home’s design and the surrounding garden. The goal was to blur the lines between inside and outside, ensuring the garden flowed naturally with the contemporary industrial style of the home while offering privacy and functionality.
Design, Planting, and Installation:
The design utilised materials like exposed recycled brick and corten steel, which mirrored the home’s interior finishes. These were combined with plantings such as Dichondra Silver Falls and rounded Buxus and Crassula varieties to soften the sharp architectural lines. We created an outdoor entertaining area that flows seamlessly from the internal living spaces, with large grassed areas for the family and their pets. Garden lighting was strategically placed to highlight key features and create ambiance at night.
Clean Up:
After installation, we ensured the garden was tidy, with all elements placed correctly and any construction debris removed. The garden was left in pristine condition, ready for use and enjoyment.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability was at the forefront of this project. We reused recycled brick and incorporated low-maintenance plantings that would thrive in the local climate, ensuring longevity while minimising environmental impact.
Outcome
The Queens Park garden successfully blends with the home’s modern industrial style, offering a functional and private space for the family to enjoy.
