The team at Stone Lotus Landscapes specialise in creating bespoke outdoor spaces that enhance the character of every home. For the 2016 Cammeray project, we designed a lush tropical garden featuring broad-leaf plants and meandering pathways, perfectly complementing the Hamptons-inspired design of the newly built home.

Scope of Work

For the Cammeray Project, the following tasks were undertaken:
Site Assessment and Planning:
We assessed the site to create a garden that harmonised with the home’s Hamptons aesthetic, considering both the existing architectural features and the desired tropical feel. Our goal was to integrate lush greenery while ensuring a seamless flow between the garden and the home.
Design, Planting, and Installation:
The design focused on lush tropical planting, with species like Strelitzia, ferns, and other broad-leaf plants to create a rich, green oasis. Vertical gardens were incorporated to add texture and depth. Meandering pathways were designed to invite exploration, all set against the darker tones of bluestone and stained timber. These elements, combined with the glossy greenery, created a stunning contrast to the home’s bright interiors and all-white façade.
Clean Up:
Once construction was completed, we ensured the site was left in pristine condition. All construction materials were cleared, the planting was fully established, and all design features, including the pathways and vertical gardens, were carefully inspected and finalised.

Outcome

The Cammeray garden has transformed into a lush, tropical escape that perfectly complements the home’s Hamptons-inspired design. The rich foliage, contrasted with the darker materials, creates a beautiful and tranquil space that enhances the overall aesthetic of the home.
