For the 2017 Strathfield project, we designed and constructed a landscape that harmonises with the sharp lines of the contemporary home, integrating soft, rustic elements.
Scope of Work
For the Strathfield Project, the following tasks were undertaken:
Site Assessment and Planning:
We assessed the property to ensure the design would enhance the contemporary architecture while offering functional outdoor spaces. The goal was to create a cohesive design that would tie together the driveway, carport, and landscaped areas.
Design, Planting, and Installation:
The design incorporated clipped Buxus balls and rounded Westringia to provide structure and soften the sharp lines of the home. Raised circular Corten steel planters were strategically placed alongside rustic planters, creating a contrast with the modern elements. The use of cedar, concrete, granite, and decking complemented the industrial aesthetic while adding warmth and texture to the space.
Clean Up:
After construction, our team ensured the area was cleaned and all elements were properly installed, leaving the garden ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
Outcome
The Strathfield project successfully transformed the front, side, and rear of the property, creating a contemporary garden that balances modern design with rustic charm. The integrated entertaining space, coupled with the softening plant selections, made the outdoor areas more inviting and functional.
